Dr. Scott Bandoroff is not your typical psychologist. Although you may find Scott in the office doing what psychologists are known to do, you are just as likely to encounter him on a challenge course, in the wilderness, or even in the boardroom engaging corporate executives in some type of experiential activity or wilderness pursuit as a vehicle for change.

Dr. Bandoroff is a relational therapist; he believes that all disorders are rooted in impaired relationships with significant others and therefore, true healing can only occur within the context of relationship. Scott prides himself on developing deep, caring and trusting relationships with his clients.

Whether it be therapy, staff development, or clinical training, Scott is most comfortable with a rope or a ball in his hand than with paper and pen. Adventure makes learning fun and makes change stick! From confused and defiant teens to skeptical veteran employees, there is no better process for inspiring and motivating clients than adventure programming.

Wilderness Family Intensives

  • I have personally worked with youth programs, both residential and wilderness based, for over twelve years and in all that time I have never met anyone that is more caring and supportive than Dr. Scott Bandoroff. Scott is always going the extra mile and has a heart the size of Utah. He understands the challenges of today’s youth and families and knows how to connect with them both experientially and spiritually, which in my experience is the ONLY way to connect. Charles P. Huge, PhD

  • Dr. Bandoroff's services with our program staff has proved, over and over again, a very useful way for our three teams to come together, communicate more effectively, and teambuild. Using an outside resource is by far, the best method we have seen work for our staff. Dr. Bandoroff is a caring, wise, creative, and empowering force and professional. I am hoping to utilize his services on a regular annual basis, to maintanin staff morale and improve communication patterns. William D. Hoffman

  • I really appreciated that we were asked what our outcome goals were and throughout the experience, Scott continually checked in to guide the training to our group needs… I loved being able to share this experience with my co-workers. This training was awesome! Anderson T.
  • The physical activities gave us the opportunity to rely upon each other… I found all of the activities really helpful, even when I wasn’t able to see it in the moment…I wish we could have kept going. I felt like there was so much more to learn. Molly H.
  • It was very helpful to have someone who doesn’t work here help to facilitate our communication. We don’t do it much, even though it’s our job. It is so important. Jim S.
  • The training gave us the opportunity to communicate as a team in a fun and relaxing environment. Your mediation skills are great. Thanks for sharing your passion! Sarah G.
